Rainbow Connection is a Maine State certified home daycare located in Farmingdale Maine. Our home based facility on eight acres can accommodate up to twelve children ranging in age from infant to pre-kindergarten to school age on either a full or part time basis. We have a large fenced in play area with climbers, a playhouse and ride on toys. We offer a husband and wife team with 11 years of teaching experience in our home daycare. We specialize in early childhood development. Full time staff members are Maine State certified as well as Pediatric First Aid & CPR trained and certified through American Heart Association and retain a CDA (Childcare Development Associate ) degree.
At Rainbow Connection, we are dedicated to providing a warm and inviting atmosphere that allows
children to develop at their own pace. We believe children need to have
a positive self-image. We foster that image, along with their developmental
growth, in the areas of intellectual, social, physical, and emotional skills.
We provide this
through a variety of group activities, individual play, and quiet periods.
Our program makes use of many play and learning materials that help a child
to gain confidence in their abilities to do and make things.
Children will play and learn
through hands on experiences in art, literature, music, nutrition, motor
skills, dramatic play, science, math manipulative and environment.
At Rainbow Connection, we are parent
friendly. Our goal is to maintain an open line of communication and to
develop a trusting relationship with the families enrolled in our
program. Our staff is trained in the field of child development and is
supportive to the healthy development of all children. We welcome
parent visits anytime, and as often as they like, to converse with our
staff and participate in their child's learning environment. We also
seriously consider and encourage all parent suggestions and comments.
